You have a great idea for a small business. Now what? In this course, you'll learn startup basics, including how to create a business plan and explore your idea's potential. You'll also analyze costing techniques, discover the differences between a product and a service business, and gain insight about how to plan, manage, and deliver your goods or services. Gallery
Precollege comments: If you have a burning desire to start your own business -- now or in the immediate future, then this course is for you. The course is knowledge based and provides the hands-on instruction necessary to get your entrepreneurial spirit on the go and start a new business. You’ll get step by step instruction on how to start, run and maintain a successful business. You’ll learn how to create a synergistic environment, form a business, analyzed financial data, understand tax statements, supporting documentation, and populate your own business plan. But, most of all you’ll have fun creating the business which you have dreamt about.
HMG 166 Fashion Entrepreneurship
Learn how to start and operate a small business focusing on fashion, accessories, and licensed merchandise. Develop your own product or service idea and then develop a marketing strategy, identify funding opportunities, and formulate a business plan to bring that idea into the market. You’ll also develop a personal business philosophy and learn how others incorporate a social mission into their businesses.
