To be a truly successful fashion designer you must have an understanding of the "realities" of the business. Can your garments be constructed? Where? With what money? How do you make them in large quantities and various sizes? How does it get into stores? Which stores? You will bring your original fashion line ideas to the first day of class and learn the reality of producing your garments. As the course evolves, you will modify your line so it reflects real-world practices. You will leave with your revised line to present to buyers with a business plan, sourced materials and pricing.
