High School senior to assist Director and Coordinator of Center for Excellence in Teaching with computer related tasks. Intern will have the opportunity to expand his/her expertise with graphics and web design software in a friendly atmosphere used exclusively by faculty.
Requirements: Basic knowledge of PC or MAC. Applicant must be be reliable. He or she should enjoy design projects and working with computers. Hours from 9:00-5:00 are flexible, and a work schedule can be arranged around the applicant's schedule.
Hours: Mondays- Saturdays, 9:30am-5:00pm. Hours and days are flexible.
School of Art and Design: Office Assistant (position not available for Spring 2013)
High school junior or senior wanted to perform light clerical duties in the School of Art and Design's Office of the Dean. Friendly manner and ease as well as professional behavior are part of the required qualities. Tasks to include: greeting guests, answering phones, filing, putting together meeting agenda, inter-office mail delivery.

Enterprise Center: Clerical Assistant (position not available for Spring 2013)
High school junior or senior wanted to provide customer support to support the staff in the Enterprise Center by performing light clerical duties. Tasks include assisting the existing staff, filing, photocopying and retrieving office vicemails. A student in this position will be required to familiarize him or herself with printed materials about the college and Enterprise Center Programs. High school junior or senior wanted to assist the Circulation Department Directors in maintaining the Library’s stacks, picture files and service desk. Projects to include: shelf reading, shelving, maintaining organization of media hardware, preparing new picture files, in-house shelf counting. Student may also assist in charging materials to patrons at the Circulation Desk. Must be organized and customer oriented.
Requirements: Ability to lift book materials, alphabetizing materials, pleasant demeanor, good organizational skills.
Hours: Tuesdays- Thursdays 10-8 ; Saturdays, 10:30am-5:00pm; Sundays, Noon-6:00 pm Hours and days are flexible.
Precollege Programs: Blog/Social Media Assistant (position not available for Spring 2013)
Opportunity: High school junior or senior wanted with strong writing/editing skills, interested in blogs and social media marketing to assist with the management of the Precollege Blog. This assistant will help us monitor and manage 8-12 bloggers this each semester, schedule, write and edit individual posts, and assist with the development of advertisements for our social media marketing. Applicant must be detail orientated, extremely organized, technologically savvy and creative.
This position includes light clerical duties and photo editing.
Requirements: Detail oriented, organized, technologically savvy, pleasant demeanor, good organizational skills.
Preferred (but not required): Experience using Wordpress and Adobe Photoshop

Projects to include digitally photographing students and student artwork, preparing images for the website and Precollege Blog. Student will also assist in writing and editing individual posts. Must be organized and keep track of student work as it is received and returned.
Requirements: Basic knowledge of photography (digital). Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), strong writing/editing skills, pleasant demeanor, good organizational skills.

Student will also assist in photographing and videotaping ESL/Fashion Business classes and events.

Professional Studies: Social Networking & Digital Media Assistant (position filled for Spring 2013)
High school junior or senior wanted to assist with social networking & digital media for noncredit Continuing Education seminars and special events. Tasks include light clerical duties, assisting with photographing and videotaping classes and events, editing photos in Photoshop, writing blog posts, scheduling posts on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.
During the spring semester tasks will also include assisting with planning and setting up the FIT Pet Fashion Show.

Academic Skills Tutoring Center: Office Services Assistant (position filled for Spring 2013)
Ninth grade student needed to help out in the daily clerical duties under the direction of the Coordinator of the Academic Skills Tutoring Center. Tasks would include organizing packets for tutor orientations and student fairs, answering and making phone calls, distributing paperwork to tutors regarding appointments, filing, entering data in to excel and photocopying.
Requirements: Very basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), we can explain, patient and friendly demeanor, good organizational skills and a willingness to learn.
Hours: 2 per week, Wednesdays between 9:00 and 5:00 (time may be flexible based on requirements)
