(9/2/11) -- Remote users! If you are having trouble logging in to our databases from off campus, please read the following suggestions:
IT Operations and the Help Desk have identified the issue concerning the log in problems to the subscription databases experienced by the off campus users recently. Users who are accessing the sites via Internet Explorer only are being blocked by their anti-virus programs. As a temporary work around, IT is recommending the following:
Off campus users should access the sites via the Firefox Browser, where the error does not occur.
If the above is not an option, the user should be instructed to temporarily disable their anti-virus firewall prior to accessing the sites, and to then re-enable it when they are done.
The Help Desk is aware of this problem and will be able to assist users who contact them.
