Tigers Sweep Visiting Kingsborough on Dig Pink Night

NEW YORK, NY (10-7-11) Ė The FIT Tigers volleyball team defeated the visiting Kingsborough Wave 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-7) at home Thursday night.  The contest was FITís annual Dig Pink game, where the Tigers wear special pink apparel to represent their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  The team sported pink socks for the duration of the match.

Leading the way for the Tigers was Ariane Datil who recorded 9.5 points on 8 kills, and ace, and a block assist.  Kayla Kallenberg followed with 9 points on 7 kills and 2 aces.  Lauren Curley led the team with 18 assists.  She also had a team high 5 service aces.

With the win, the Tigers move to an impressive 7-1 on the season.
