FIT's Master of Arts degree in Fashion and Textile Studies/Precollege Collaboration Each year the graduate students of the Fashion and Textiles: History, Theory, Museum Practice program curate an exhibit in the Museum at FIT and then present to the students in Precollege Programs about the content of the exhibit and the process of curating the exhibit. This year they presented the exhibit “Youthquake: The1960’s Fashion Revolution.” Learn more about this and past collaborations here. |

African Fashion Week is Coming Back to FIT This summer, Precollege students are going to have the wonderful opportunity to meet upcoming African fashion designers whose work is inspired by African themes. FIT’s International Trade and Marketing Program in collaboration with Precollege Programs will be coordinating the event at FIT which aligns with African Fashion Week NY held July 12-18, 2012. The panel will take place in the Katie Murphy Amphitheatre on July 11, 2012. More information to follow. |
