Assistant Professor Carlos Jones is a SUNY Diversity Faculty Fellow in the Theater Department at SUNY College at Buffalo. Jones is professor of Musical Theater and Dance where his progressive ideas have brought him to be among the top advocates for the incorporation of technology and the development of 21st century classrooms. Outside academia, Jones takes his innovative teaching practices to the community, leading arts integration residencies in the K-12 environment. In this setting he continues to advocate for the simultaneous learning of arts and technology. In addition to his position at Buffalo State, he has also served on the faculties of UC-Irvine, UCLA, Chapman University, St. Cloud State University and Loyola Marymount University. Prior to transitioning to academia, Carlos Jones enjoyed a career in entertainment. His work as a director, choreographer and performer has taken him to venues around the world and has landed him on both the large and small screen.
