Ms. Kim Is a Scientist at Chanel. In her current position she represents the United States as part of a global team that develops makeup innovations for Chanel worldwide.
Prior to Chanel, she spent 13 years in various research positions at L’Oréal, in the US and France. In these roles, she gained a strong technical expertise in the development of color cosmetics, skincare products, fragrance ancillaries for mass and luxury market brands such as Lancôme, Maybelline, L’Oréal, Ralph Lauren, Garnier and Kiehl’s.
She gained international experience working in the L’Oréal Research and Development headquarters in Paris where she was responsible for developing products for the Garnier Nutritionist Skincare launch in the United States. She studied French at the Sorbonne (CCFS).
She later was responsible for managing the Kiehl’s skincare brand and led a team of chemists to develop innovative products for the Kiehl’s brand. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Seton Hall University. Ms. Kim is a recipient of the Young Scientist of the Year award from the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. She is a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists and Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW).
