2012 SEASON UNDERWAY WITH A SHUTOUT AT BRONX CC

On September 15th, the FIT Women's Volleyball team began their 2012 campaign with an away match against Bronx Community College.  The Columbia blue, navy and white Tigers were excited to have such a great game to get early season jitters out of the way.  FIT came home with the 3-0 (25-11, 25-3, 25-19) victory.

"It was a lot of fun to finally get on the floor and play.  I'm looking forwar to working hard this season and improving each match," exclaimed Sarah Weise, a middle blocker in her third semester. 

With the mixture of many new faces and a few returners, the team has a promising future ahead of them, as showcased in the shutout win.  During the game, each player was able to put in a substantial amount of playing time, preparing them for what is ahead in the season.

Megan Houff had 9 kills and Rachel Carey had 8 aces.  Sarah Grochowski had 11 digs.
