Precollege Middle School Workshop Opening Day Supply Lists

The supply lists below reflect materials needed for the first day of class only. Instructors will provide extended lists to students either on the first day of class or by email as needed.

JSX 080: Accessorizing your Accessories: Creating Embellishments

  • Craft glue (Aleene’s Tacky Glue (regular or quick dry), Sobo Craft glue, etc)
  • Colored Pencils (8-12 pack is plenty)
  • Scissors (sharp enough to cut fabric and vinyl)
  • 12inch ruler (plastic or metal- no cork backing)
  • Sketch book/note pad with blank pages, any size
  • Empty toilet paper or paper towel rolls (to be used day 3 to make “pompoms”)
  • Accessories from home (canvas sneakers (Toms, Converse, Vans), flip flops, fabric belts, hats, fabric bags- if time permits we can embellish a collection to go with provided handbag blank)
  • Old jeans or clothing if available (to make "recycled" embellishments)
* Note: Please be sure to clearly mark all supplies with student's name.  A zippered pouch, plastic box or case would be helpful for keeping supplies in as well
