Tigers Fluster Div II Nassau CC

By Carrie Thomas

(New York, NY) The Fashion Institute of Technology crushed an intimidating looking Division II Nassau CC in three straight sets 25-10, 25-19, 25-23.

"Nassau had some big girls. They looked tall and powerful in warmups. We took advantage of their mistakes and lack of speed. We are playing with much more intensity so that helps to pick up our game and control the tempo, "Coach Carrie Thomas said

Anna Buckley paced the offense doling out 23 set assists and 6 kills. Megan Houff finished with 6 kills and Rachel Carey ended with 6 kills. Defensively, Alison Tyler had 8 kills. Miranda Mitchell finished the night with 3 kills and 8 digs.

"Earning these wins against these upper division schools helps us in so many ways. Our confidence is so much higher and we raise our game to a whole other level," stated Thomas
