Daniel Silverstein Daniel Silverstein (Fashion Design '10)
After graduating summa cum laude from NYC’s prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in 2010, Daniel Silverstein co-launched his collection, 100% NY. While a student at FIT, Daniel interned at Carmen Marc Valvo, Daniel Vosovic, Carolina Herrera and Swimwear Anywhere.  A semester abroad studying at FIT in Milan deepened his appreciation for conceptual design and quality goods.  At FIT, he was introduced to the concept of zero fabric waste design.  He saw that by incorporating this philosophy into his collection, he could create fashion forward clothes without wasting fabric; he could challenge the industry paradigm of reckless waste to one of considerate design. With the Daniel Silverstein collection, that’s exactly what he is doing. Since appearing on Season 2 of NBC’s Fashion Star, Silverstein has re-launched his brand under his own name, and as an independent designer, he strives to create a collection that melds his personal design aesthetic with the zero waste design techniques he has developed.
