FIT Cross Country NJIT Invitational

(Newark, NJ) Competition really heated up on Saturday October 5th as the FIT Tiger Cross Country team traveled to Newark, NJ for the NJIT Invitational. The team finished 8th out of 19 tough teams. Everyone finished with a personal best time on the flat and fast New Jersey Course.

Lindsey Schroth lead the team placing 24th in a time of 20:32. Next for FIT was Shannen Gallardo with a solid performance of 21:22. Mikalia Macner stepped up and finished 3rd for the team with a time of 22:36. Following close behind was Julia Lyons and Kelsey Waters with a 22:53 and 23:29, respectively. Other improvements were Jennifer Roman with a time of 25:09, and Meghan Gaska finishing in 33:52.

The team gears up for one last meet next weekend at Van Courtland Park before laying it all on the line at the Regional Meet on October 19th.
