Newly Admitted Freshmen
Welcome to students admitted to Presidential Scholars Program
Fall 2014 Registration Info for incoming Presidential Scholars
WHAT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REGISTER FOR
By May 15, you will already be preregistered in EN362, the required English class for all freshmen Presidential Scholars--regardless of AP or transfer credit in English.
EN362 replaces EN121 which all other freshmen are required to take. DO NOT sign up for EN121.
FOR ART & DESIGN MAJORS ONLY: BLOCKS FOR YOUR MAJOR
By May 15, you will already be preregistered into a block that has your major required courses.
WHAT YOU DO HAVE TO REGISTER FOR
FOR BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY MAJORS ONLY
You must register for all your required first semester courses in your major. Be sure to check first what EN362 class you are already enrolled in and build your schedule around that. Then add your second Liberal Arts class as below.
ALL Presidential Scholars MUST register for one Liberal Arts course that will be in addition to EN362.
Please see the letter that I have sent you for specific recommendations for what Liberal Arts course you should take your first semester. I do NOT recommend you choose any other Liberal Arts courses than those in my letter.
IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
NEVER ENROLL IN ANY COURSE ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS. The meetings of the Presidential Scholars Program are held on Wednesday nights. You must change your schedule if you inadvertently enrolled in a Wednesday night class.
AP/IB/TRANSFER CREDITS: Well go over how you can use these credits when we meet individually in the fall.
