Meet the Staff

Ann Marie Grappo, Director of Residential Life
The Director oversees and supervises the residential life staff, executes policy and procedures, and functions as administrative liaison between the residence halls and the College. The Director of Residential Life is concerned with student welfare and discipline in the residence halls. The Director or an appointee of the Director serves as a member of the Conduct Appeal Board, to insure due process for student concerns.

Joe Gaschen, Assistant Director of Residential Life for Operations
The Assistant Director assumes those duties assigned by the Director and shall assume the responsibilities of the Director in his/her absence.

Gabrielle Arthurton-Crumb, Assistant Director of Outreach and Judicial Affairs 
The Assistant Director assumes those duties assigned by the Director and shall assume the responsibilities of the Director in his/her absence.

Alex Alorro, Housing Associate
Reporting to the Director of Residential Life, the Housing Associate oversees the maintenance of databases, reports and analyzes data for both summer and academic year programs as well as providing leadership and direction for recess housing.  The Housing Associate serves as an integral member of the Residential Life professional staff team involved with all aspects of the operation of FITís residence halls.

Matthew Krein, Housing Assistant
Under the direction of the Housing Associate, the Housing Assistant provides support for recess housing, maintenance of databases, reports and helps update student databases. The Housing Assistant assumes those duties assigned by the Housing Associate and shall assume the responsibilities of the Associate in his/her absence

Resident Counselors
The role of the Resident Counselor is to establish and maintain a residence hall community conducive to the academic and personal growth of each resident, while consistent with the goals and objectives of the college. The counselors supervise Building Managers, advise Residence Hall Community Council and assist with general administration of the residence halls including conduct, roommate mediation and room switches. Resident Counselors are available for student concerns and personal counseling. They are involved in other activities as assigned by the Director of Residential Life.

Building Managers
The Building Managers are responsible for community development under the supervision of the Resident Counselors. This includes but is not limited to hall administration, programming, advisement and supervision of Resident Assistants and Residence Hall Community Council. They are involved in central office decisions as well as staff supervision and program development.
