Degree Audits (DARS)

A degree audit is a computer-based assessment that shows the progress you’re making toward meeting your degree requirements. It takes into account your major requirements, transfer credits, completed courses, and courses in progress.

The degree audit (DARS) is a tool to help you understand the courses required for your degree and to help plan course selection for each term. Every effort is made to ensure the information on the degree audit is correct, but it is your responsibility to:
  • review the audit and confirm its accuracy
  • successfully complete in-progress courses
  • register for the proper sequence of courses to satisfy degree requirements

Be sure to check your degree audit (DARS) on a regular basis and bring a current, printed copy to all your advisement sessions. Also, understand that it is not an official college document.

If you have questions about your graduation status or any of the information contained on the degree audit (DARS) and would like to speak to a Registrar, run a new audit, and bring a printed copy of the degree audit to graduation advisement or send an email to FIT_Registrar@fitnyc.edu.

Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer are the preferred browsers to run and print an audit.
