Lynn Cabot-Puro is the Head Coach of the Women’s Tennis Team at FIT. The women’s team won 2 Regional Championships (2005 & 2007) and competed for a National Championship in the NJCAA Championship Tournament during these years under Coach Puro. She was named Region XV Coach of the Year for both of these years as well.

Coach Puro has been teaching and coaching tennis for more than 20 years. She is also a professor of graphic and advertising design in the Communications Department at FIT. Prior to coaching at FIT, Coach Puro was the Head Coach of the boys and girls varsity teams at Fair Lawn HS in New Jersey. She became the Director and Teaching Pro at her successful and celebrated Lynn Puro Summer Tennis Camp for players of all ages on Martha’s Vineyard. She has organized island tournaments, Celebrity Tennis and Croquet, and Pee Wee programs for 3-5 year old children.

Presently, Coach Puro is a teaching pro at the Vineyard Youth Foundation. Besides her teaching, she is a tournament tennis and platform tennis player. She was a nationally ranked platform player. Coach Puro is a member of the USTA, ITA, and USPTA. She was featured in a 2008 program about USA Youth Tennis on the Tennis Channel. Coach Puro has a competitive spirit and intrinsic passion for the game of tennis.
