In November 2007, a computer lab in the Business and Liberal Arts
Center was named in honor of the late Henry Doneger, founder and former
chairman of The Doneger Group, a leading source of global market trends
and merchandising strategies to the retail and fashion industry. The
lab, which contains 25 state-of-the-art computers, is used by Fashion
Merchandising Management students. Doneger was a longtime friend of the
college; in November 2006, The Doneger Group raised $700,000 to benefit
the Henry Doneger Scholarship Fund at FIT. Doneger’s son, Abbey, is a
vice president of The Educational Foundation for the Fashion
Industries.
