In April 2008, the Fashion Merchandising Management Department and The
Educational Foundation for the Fashion Industries hosted a breakfast
honoring Robert N. Friedman, then CEO and a director of Loehmann’s. The
event raised $159,000 to benefit the department’s degree programs.
