Tomie Arai is a printmaker, community artist and activist, and public art commission recipient. She has a long history beginning with the Asian American community arts movement in New York's Chinatown during the late 1960s and early 1970s. She will talk about how her experiences of the early days of Yellow Pearl and Lower East Side mural projects relate to her recent public art and her studio work.
All welcome.
