The Creative Entrepreneur

The Creative Entrepreneur:
Using Play and Performance to Grow Your Business

Being a successful entrepreneur requires a great deal of creativity. But not simply the creativity required for sales campaigns, brand development or product and service choices.

We need (and can be) more creative in how we relate to our customers, our partners, vendors, and our employees.  How we present ourselves, how we think about our work and our lives.

So how can we get more creative? Is it something you can “just do”? No! We need to be in creative environments where we can play, experiment, perform, improvise and grow – both as entrepreneurs AND as human beings!

FIT is pleased to offer a “creative intensive for entrepreneurs” that we guarantee will challenge the way you see yourself and your business. This is your opportunity to work with trainers from the award-winning executive coaching firm, Performance of a Lifetime. Since 1996, the creativity experts at Performance of a Lifetime have trained thousands of Fortune 100 executives and business leaders to play, perform, experiment, improvise and grow.

Trainers will draw upon the tools of theater and improvisation to direct you in  new and more effective “performances” in all the “scenes” of your entrepreneurial life (from hiring an assistant to meeting a prospective client). Through a combination of improvisational theater exercises, facilitated dialogue, role-plays and coaching, participants will learn to:

• Become more confident and savvy at networking
• Take more (creative and smarter) risks
• Present yourself in ways that instills confidence in you and your business
• Embody and convey your brand in everything you do
• Better handle high stakes conversations with clients, staff and investors

Program Structure

The program begins with a one-day personal creativity workshop in which you'll grow your capacity to break from your "scripts" and perform improvisationally -- with flexibility, courage, and openness to a variety of ideas and styles. This is followed by two group-coaching sessions designed as "rehearsal" environments. These will focus on specific themes that you bring to the table -- networking, managing staff, presentation skills, challenging conversations, your brand story, and more.
