Chicago Style: Author-Date System
The author-date system, preferred for works dealing with science, utilizes in-text citation as well as a bibliography.
The in-text citation is implemented by putting the author’s last name and the year of publication in parentheses after the paraphrasing of material. If a direct quote is used, the page number should be included in the citation.
The Bibliography is the same as in the Notes-Bibliography system.
