Watch FITís "The Future of Fashion" Runway Show Online
Streamed Live on the Web for the First Time

For the first time in its five-year history, the Fashion Institute of Technologyís annual graduating students runway show Ė always a much anticipated event Ė will be streamed live on the web for audiences who are not able to catch the excitement in person. On Monday, April 26 at 7:30 pm, viewers will see The Future of Fashion revealed at www.fitnyc.edu/futureoffashion in a professionally produced runway show with an array of fashion-forward garments, including sportswear, special occasion, knitwear, intimate apparel, menswear, and childrenís wear designed for fall 2010.
Expected in the packed house are Calvin Klein, Carolina Herrera, and Kate Betts, among other notables.
The young designers selected for the fashion show also will vie for cash awards from Cotton Incorporated, the lead sponsor of the fashion show. Students who use cotton in 95 percent of their outfits will be eligible to win $2,000 in each of five categories: sportswear, knitwear, intimate apparel, special occasion, and childrenís wear.
Also for the first time, The Future of Fashion Ė in true futuristic style Ė will be projected in 3D in FITís Haft Auditorium.
The Future of Fashion will take place in the John E. Reeves Great Hall on the FIT campus at 4:30 pm and again at 7:30 pm. A VIP reception is slated for 6 pm.
