2010 Gala Sets Record

Let's Dance

Each semester, FIT’s Jay and Patty Baker Scholars take part in diverse projects that give something back to the community. This spring semester, the group recreated a high school senior prom for nearly 200 senior citizens at the Hudson Guild Fulton Center in Chelsea. Read more.

14th Annual Home Products Breakfast Honors Industry Giants

FIT’s 14th Annual Home Products Scholarship Awards Breakfast, held March 9, 2010, at Cipriani, raised some $25,000 in scholarship funds for students in the FIT’s Home Products Development program. The event honored industry giants including Steven Fishman, chairman, president, and CEO of Big Lots, Inc.,the nation’s largest closeout retailer; Anurag Sharma, president of Welspun Global Brands, Ltd.,a leader in home textiles; and the Lichtenberg family, founders of S. Lichtenberg & Co., a leading manufacturer of curtains, draperies, and home fashion products. Read more.
