Americans for the Arts.† A nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America. Provides information and professional development opportunities, visibility programs, educational events, workshops, an online field directory, and a searchable database of local, state, regional and national arts organizations.

ArtBuzz.org.† A nonprofit website dedicated to the promotion of the visual arts. Their mission is to link fine artists to art buyers, artistsí reps and brokers, art organizations, art shows, art galleries and museums as well as other artists.

Art Deadlines List.† A monthly newsletter listing art contests, competitions, scholarships, grants, exhibitions, jobs, internships, residencies, fellowships, and funding.†

Artistsí Fellowship, Inc.A private charitable foundation that assists professional fine artists and their families in times of emergency, disability, or bereavement. Assistance is given without expectation of repayment.

ArtJob.Subscription based national database of full† and part time employment opportunities for artists. Also lists grants, public art projects, and residencies.

TheArtlist.com.† Free art opportunities database offers an extensive listing of over a hundred art opportunities, art contests, art competitions, and juried exhibitions for both visual artists and photographers.

Art Public.Information about events, opportunities, public art works, and artists mainly in Europe with some in the U.S. and in other countries. Searchable database of over 6,000 artists, publications, and public art works.

Artists Space.† A nonprofit visual arts gallery in NYC, it maintains a digitized database and slide registry that artists may join free of charge. The Artists File is regularly used by curators, gallery owners, and collectors to access the work of emerging contemporary artists.

ArtPerk. Gives artists an opportunity to publicize art events and shows, and assist in finding display opportunities. Lists residencies, fellowships, grants, competitions, jobs, and internships.

Art Public. Information about events, opportunities, public art works, and artists mainly in Europe with some in the U.S. and in other countries. Searchable database of over 6,000 artists, publications, and public art works.

Art Opportunities Monthly. Art contests, grants, juried art competitions, fellowships, residencies, and other opportunities for artists and photographers.†

Arts Education Partnership.† A national coalition that includes arts, education, business, philanthropic and government organizations that have national scope and impact as well as state and local partnerships that support arts education. Contains links to arts education resources, funding opportunities, and AEP publications.††

Artshow.† For artists who want to display and sell their work online. Lists art shows, competitions, workshops, and links to sites that provide art-related advice and support.

Art Times.† A literary journal and resource for visual arts. Lists classes and workshops, art competitions, reviews and more.

Association of Teaching Artists.† A nonprofit professional association whose mission is to advocate, strengthen, and serve Teaching Artists from all disciplines in New York State. Promotes discussion and shares information and resources through their listserv.

The College Art Associationís Resources & Opportunities Page.† Lists grants, fellowships and scholarships for artists.

Community of Science (COS).Fee-based database of hard-to-find information critical to scientific research and other projects across all disciplines. Profiles of researchers and scholars from universities, corporations and nonprofits in more than 170 countries. Searchable database of funding opportunities in the sciences with weekly updates for subscribers.†

FIND ART Information Bank.† An artists locator and resource service that provides free weekly emailed listings to the arts community from clients that either need the services of artists or those involved in the arts, or offer beneficial services to the arts community. Listings include employment, exhibition, competition, grant, and residency opportunities.

The Fund for Women Artists.† A nonprofit arts service organization dedicated to helping women artists get the resources they need to do their creative work. Website provides free networking, fundraising and advocacy services for women in theatre, film, and video.

FundsforWriters.† Grants, awards, contests, markets, jobs, agents, publishers, plus many different suggestions on writing are located at this site.††

Fundsnet Online Services.† Provides nonprofit organizations, colleges and universities with an online alphabetical listing of arts and culture funders.†

The Garment Industry Development Corporation.† A nonprofit consortium of labor, industry and government dedicated to strengthening New York's apparel industry and keeping jobs in fashion. Offers training for management and workers, technology and engineering assistance, export promotion, and domestic sourcing. A centralized job referral system is available for apparel workers and apparel firms.†

GrantsWeb.An online resource from The Society of Research Administrators International. Lists government funding and resources, professional development and education programs, private funding sources, and various grant forms. /

Graphic Comm Central. For Graphic Communications teachers, students and printing industry personnel. Lists associations, awards, competitions, careers, grants, news and more.††

NEW!The Haven Foundation. Founded by author Stephen King, financial assistance is provided to freelance artists, writers, readers, and those in the associated publishing industry, who have found themselves unable to work due to disease or accident. Deadline: Open.†

Industrial Designers Society of America.Highlights design news, awards, competitions, exhibits, events, new products & ventures, and high-tech creativity.††

InLiquid.† A nonprofit membership organization based in Philadelphia, PA. Provides opportunities and exposure for visual artists and designers. Lists employment, grants, residencies, internships, contests, etc.††

International Center for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM). An intergovernmental organization (IGO) dedicated to the conservation of cultural heritage. Contains an online library, and image collection on a wide range of conservation themes. Lists courses, grants, jobs and events in conservation.

NEW!Maxís Kansas City Project.
Provides emergency funding and resources to professionals in the creative arts who live in New York State. Individuals who have made their living through their art form either professionally or personally and demonstrate a financial need for medical aid, legal aid or housing are eligible. Award: $1,000. Deadline: Open.

Media Alliance.† A non-profit membership organization dedicated to advancing independent media-video, film, audio, radio, and computers in New York. Lists current media events, exhibitions, and funding throughout the state.††

National Alliance for Media Arts Culture.† A national association committed to furthering the media arts. Lists funding resources, festivals and conferences, online arts resources and online arts publications.†

National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).Access to NARAís nationwide holdings, including originals of the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights, the Digital Classroom, teaching curriculum, and archives and preservation resources offering technical assistance in archival preservation.

National Art Education Association.† A nonprofit, educational organization that promotes art education through professional development, service, and leadership. Bi-weekly listings of art teacher job openings, grants alerts, books, and reports.†

National Gallery of Art.Free educational resources including teaching packets, DVDís, video and other media.

New York Artists Online. An exhibition space for New York artists. Lists art exhibits, arts organizations, resources, art/education grants, residencies, etc.†

The New York City Arts in Education Roundtable.† Enables arts organizations providing arts education in the New York City schools and community to meet and share information about the field.†

The New York Foundation for the Artsí weekly newsletter. Includes arts news, information about art exhibitions, competitions, fellowships, grants, and job listings. Subscriptions are available.†

Organization of Independent Artists.† A nonprofit organization founded by artists to provide a wide range of support services for their fellow artists.††††††††††††††††††††

The Poetry Kit. Lists poetry competitions and world-wide poetry events.

Research Center for Arts and Culture (RCAC), Teachers College, Columbia University. Acts as both a service and a resource, provides data and ideas for applied research, education, advocacy, policy making, and artistsí resources. RFP Bulletin.†

RFP Bulletin.† The Foundation Centerís weekly listing of requests for proposals. Each bulletin includes current listings, but there are also many topical listings of RFPs throughout the year. Weekly subscriptions are available.†

Tech Learning.† Database of grants, funders, and contests to secure funds for educational programs targeted at technology initiatives.†

The Textile Society of America.† Provides a forum for the exchange of information about all aspects of textiles: historic, artistic, cultural, social, political, economic, and technical. Includes listings of grants, calls for entries, jobs and internships.†

U.S. Department of Education.† To find education grants and contracts, or keep up with existing grants. A listing of funding opportunities is available, Federal Register application notices, and contract solicitations.†

VSA Arts.† A non-profit organization that creates learning opportunities through the arts for people with disabilities. Provides artistsí opportunities, artistsí publications, career development tips, adaptive resources, online artistsí registry, and programmatic resources for parents and educators.

Winning Writers. Lists over 150 free poetry contests, and writing/poetry resources.

World Wide Arts Resources.† Provides access to artists, museums, galleries, arts education, classified ads, resume postings, and arts forums. The site's Artslocator provides information on organizations and agencies in cities around the world.†

WOW - Women on Writing.† A free online magazine that promotes the communication between women writers, authors, editors, agents, publishers, and readers. Lists writing retreats, contests, writing and author sites, premium market listings for freelance writers, and a quarterly flash fiction contest.††
