Students who hold a high school diploma or GED and wish to attend FIT on a non-degree basis may register for selected courses without a formal admissions application to the college. (High school and middle school students see below.) Courses that are open to non-degree students are typically scheduled during the evening and on the weekend. They may or may not carry college credit. While some credit-bearing courses are reserved for degree students only, all students must meet prerequisite requirements for any courses they plan to take. PRECOLLEGE CLASSES FOR HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS

If you're in high school or middle school and want to get a taste of what FIT is all about, as well as explore future career possibilities or put together a portfolio, consider one of our Precollege courses. Offered to high school students during the academic year on Saturdays and to high school and middle school students during 3 weeks in July, these courses cover everything from interior design to fashion design, and advertising and marketing to display and exhibit design.
