Before You Apply

You will need to state your choice of one major on the SUNY application. View the majors offered at FIT to determine the appropriate degree program for you. What are the majors?

APPLY ONLINE

The application can be accessed on the SUNY website at www.suny.edu/student. Filing your SUNY application is only the first step. After your application has been submitted you must follow FIT's instructions below to complete your application.

You will receive two confirmations that your application has been received: the first will be from the SUNY Application Services Center and the second will be from FIT.

IMPORTANT: The confirmation that you receive from FIT will include: 1) your assigned Student Identification Number, and 2) your FIT Username and Password, which you will use to access MyFIT (http://MyFIT.fitnyc.edu), the online resource needed to activate and complete your application. If you have not provided us with a valid email address, it can take 3 – 4 weeks for this second confirmation letter to arrive by postal mail.

It is your responsibility to confirm that all Admissions Requirements have been satisfied. Decisions will be made on completed applications only. Therefore, it is imperative to check your application status and your assigned FIT email account frequently via MyFIT.

If you are interested in earning a degree in the evenings and on the weekends, please choose the "Part-time" and “Evening/Weekend” options on the SUNY application. Learn more about our evening/weekend degree programs here.
