From Muslin to Mulch

The fashion industry produces tons of muslin waste that ends up in landfills. But at FIT, two students created a Muslin Compost System that uses worms and bacteria to turn leftover cotton muslin into compost for campus green spaces.

Global Fashion Capitals

Emerging fashion centers around the globe are joining established capitals like Paris, New York, and Milan. This exhibition explores the globalization of fashion and the rise of 16 new capitals, from Berlin to Seoul, São Paulo to Mumbai. The Museum at FIT, Jun 2-Nov 14. Free admission.
