FIT offers over 180 courses in an online environment, including two online degree programs and one non-credit online certificate program. Online courses run on the same semester schedule as face-to-face courses. Activities in online courses are the same as in a traditional class: students read course materials, write papers, do research, take exams, and communicate with their instructor and fellow students. Students and faculty use technology as a tool in accomplishing these tasks. Students leverage the wealth of resources available through the Internet to support their learning. If you opt to take an online course, you will access your course through ANGEL or Blackboard. Online courses are not for everyone, and work best for independent learners who communicate comfortably through reading and writing. You may be expected to participate in online discussions with your class several times per week. Online courses are open to both degree and non-degree students, as well as international students.
