Continuing and Professional Studies Students

We know that you're busy, but FIT's School of Continuing and Professional Studies will fit your demanding schedule. Our programs meet vital skills needed in the fashion and related industries, both for beginners and working professionals.

  • Take credit or non-credit courses at FIT in areas such as fashion business, design, computer technology, and marketing with no application required
  • Complete courses towards one of our 19 noncredit or 12 credit certificate programs
  • Complete courses towards one of our 6 associate’s or 5 bachelor’s degree programs in the evenings and on the weekends
  • Enroll your middle school and high school aged child in a precollege program


The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) serves more than 13,000 individuals annually by offering courses to students who are life-long learners beginning at age 11. Our population includes precollege youth, career-changers, mid- and high level executives, entrepreneurs and small-business owners, and industry groups. Whether you are interested in obtaining skills required to develop a portfolio, experiencing a major before committing to a degree program, looking to brush up on your skills by taking a course, a hobbyist looking for a fun, new interest, or a professional in your industry looking to re-tool your technique, SCPS has something for you!
