The FIT Women's Soccer team played Suffolk County Community College on September 15th, and left with their second consecutive 3-0 shutout, bringing their record to 2-0. The game was played on the road at SCCC's Grant Campus, the team's second of four road games to open the season

During the game, the Tigers showed great passing skills, and held possession of the ball for the majority of the contest.  Briana Marquit scored the first goal of the game as a result of a penalty kick.  This was also her first goal of the young season.  That goal proved to be the only score of the half, as both teams took a break with the Tigers up by 1.

The Tigers' defense once again held strong in the second half, and the team netted two more goals, both off the foot of Brittany Sheeran.  Sheeran's goals were assisted by Marquit and Hayley Reid, respectively. These were the first goals of the season for Brittany and the first assists of the season for Marquit and Reid.

Coach Bevivino stated, "It was a great game and we are very happy to start the season with a win in our league."

Goalie Katelyn Snow obtained her second clean sheet of the season, stopping all 5 shots she saw.  Hayley Reid closed out the game, playing 25 minutes in goal, and stopping one shot.
