El Museum at FIT (MFIT) celebra el Mes de la Herencia Hispana
En honor del Mes de la herencia hispana , el Museum at FIT (MFIT) se complace en presentar "100 años de moda" (100 Years of Fashion), el primer video educativo en español de una serie dedicada a la herencia hispana. Este video en dos partes celebra la historia de la moda desde finales del siglo XIX hasta la década de 1990. Subraya más de 25 objetos de la colección del museo e ilustra temas y diseñadores de distintas décadas. Los videos fueron creados originalmente en inglés durante el verano de 2020 para estudiantes de preparatoria que asistían a cursos preuniversitarios en FIT. Dada la popularidad de estos videos y el compromiso de MFIT con la accesibilidad a audiencias diversas, la serie ahora ha sido traducida al español. La narración es realizada por Michelle McVicker, asistente de colecciones y educación en MFIT. The Museum at FIT (MFIT) celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, The Museum at FIT (MFIT) is pleased to present "100 años de moda" (100 Years of Fashion), the first in a series of free, educational Spanish-language videos. Celebrating fashion history from the late nineteenth century through the 1990s, the two-part video highlights more than 25 objects from the museum’s collection to illustrate themes and designers from different decades. The videos were initially made available in English in summer 2020, created for high school students enrolled in FIT’s precollege courses. Based on the popularity of the videos, and MFIT’s commitment to make content accessible to a broad audience, the series is now offered in Spanish. Narration is by Michelle McVicker, collections and education assistant at MFIT. In addition to the new videos, we invite you to explore these other content highlights during Hispanic Heritage Month.
