Dr. Stanley Solomon Award

Dr. Stanley Solomon was an Associate Professor of English and a valued member of the FIT community from 1979-2011. He was a devoted teacher and throughout his tenure served as Chairperson of the English and Speech Department, Assistant Chairperson of the English and Speech Department, Coordinator of the FIT Presidential Scholars Program, Dean of Curriculum, and was the recipient of the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Faculty Service. 
Stanley was passionate about film and was a major contributor to the development of the Film and Media Program.  This scholarship will help Stanley’s memory live on, and it will help a Film and Media student complete a project of their choice.

The committee awards a scholarship of $1500 in his honor.

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in the Film and Media Major and be in their second year, ready to enter the FIT Film and Media BS program.
