Computers in the Library
Technology Resources Overview
- In the Library - Goodman ("E") building, you'll find computer workstations, copiers, and scanners
on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors. Printers are located on the 6th floor.

- You can find additional information about copiers and scanners on Peripheral Equipment page
- Specialized equipment for artwork enlargement and projection, and basic photography lighting setup is available in the Art Resources Lab (ARL) in the MakerMinds space on the 6th floor. For further details, check out the MakerMinds page
- You can connect wirelessly on all floors. Just note that FIT community devices can only connect through the FITAIR wireless network -- check out the instructions to get connected.
- Personal software may not be loaded onto the Library's computers
- By adding funds to your FIT ID card, you can access the Pay-for-Print system, makes copies, and utilize PrintFX services
- Lab Monitors are here to help for most of the Library's opening hours, offering assistance and basic troubleshooting.
- Two assistive technology - FITABLE stations are available for use in the Library
Hours
The Library's Computer Labs are open during regular Library hours. For specific floor-by-floor hours, holiday closings and exceptions, visit the Library Hours page.
Other open computer labs on campus:
- The Computer Commons - rooms CC15 and CC15A located in the Feldman Center basement
- The Peter G. Scotese CAD/COM Facility - 6 classrooms used for classes and as Open Labs when classes are not in session are located on the 2nd floor of Feldman Center; To enter go through C220

MakerMinds
- Art Resources Lab - located in the MakerMinds corner on the 6th floor of the library is equipped with:
- basic photography setup used for small to mid size object photography
- projectors used for artwork enlargement
- copy stand for oversized artwork documentation by photography
- trimming area
Software on Student Workstations
Our Open Computer Labs across campus come with a standard set of software. While classrooms might have extra software for specific courses, you won't find them in the open labs.
Arduino IDE / TBD - software is available on the 6th floor, room E601, on workstations numbered 2 - 10 and 26. Arduino also has a web based application.

Student Printing Overview
- Print from any student workstation by choosing PFP_B&W or PFP_COLOR printer from the Printer selection dropdown menu.
- Charges apply at all Print Release Stations (check Pricing below)
- Use your FIT ID to add value and pay from your printing account (Fashion Express).
- You can release and pick up your prints from any Print-Release-Station:
- Library 6th floor, Goodman Resources Center.
- Computer Commons in CC15, basement of the Feldman Center.
Adding money to your account. You may add funds to your account by:
- Making an online deposit on eAccounts portal
- Refer to our step-by-step instructions on how to add money online
- Or add cash (bills only, no coins) at one of the four college's Campus Pay Kiosks located in:
- 5th floor Library lobby
- Basement of the Feldman building in CC15
- outside PrintFx in Pomerantz, D529A
- Dining Hall, first floor of Dubinsky Student Center

Paper Size and Finish:
- To print in Black and White select PFP_B&W from the available printers dropdown
- To print in Color select PFP_COLOR from the available printers dropdown
- Two paper sizes are available in the Labs: US Letter (8 1/2 x 11") and Ledger/Tabloid (11 x 17")
Pricing:
- Black and White laser printing is $0.10
- Color laser printing is $0.90 per page
- Same price for 8.5x11" and 11x17"
Library Printing Locations
- 6th Floor: Four Pay-for-Print Printers are located in E620 and are available until
15 minutes before closing time.

Professional Quality Printing at PrintFX
Professional quality digital printing services, fabric and specialty media printing, and fabrication services such as laser cutting and engraving, vinyl cutting, and 3D printing are available at PrintFX / FabLab in Pomerantz, 5th floor, D529A.
Assistance in the Labs
Our Computer Labs are staffed by Student Lab Monitors for most of the Library's open hours.
- Lab Monitors are here to help with basic hardware and software issues, printing, and other lab functions.
- Lab Monitors should not be expected to provide in depth assistance with projects, or advanced tutoring for applications. For these services please contact Academic Skills Tutoring Center
