Faculty Toolkit on Diversity
This toolkit, created by members of the Diversity Council, is provided as a resource for faculty in creating an inclusive learning environment. The purpose of this toolkit is to provide material and resources that will strengthen your knowledge as you navigate a journey towards embodying DEI and anti-racist social work practice.
Learning is an ongoing process that requires new ideas and shared experiences. Faculty members are encouraged to provide additional resources such as PowerPoints, video links, and other ideas to assist their fellow faculty members.
It is our responsibility as educators to have a deep understanding of how our societal, cultural, and institutional structures and practices contribute to the ongoing marginalization of our society. It is even more important to know how to effectively challenge these systems and embed diversity, equity, and inclusion, and anti-racist frameworks in our work as educators and beyond.
Thank you, we hope that this will be a valuable resource in your classroom experience.
Onward and upward,
Dr. Ron Milon
Chief Diversity Officer
