Student Projects

Call for Submissions

Climate change is real and affects many aspects of our world. In this era of “fake news” and “alternative facts,” getting to the real story of such an essential topic is crucial. Students in all majors and classes across the college, working with professors or on their own, are invited to create projects that communicate the facts about climate change—causes and effects, problems and solutions—to a public audience.

Students are encouraged to think creatively about the scope and form of these projects and to keep their audience in mind as they create the final version. The projects can be completed individually or in groups, and interdisciplinary projects are also encouraged.

All work should be based on reputable and fully cited information. Links to resources are available below. The Writing and Speaking Studio can work with students on any type of project, including multimedia works. The Gladys Marcus Library can assist with research.

Projects will be reviewed and selected by a team of faculty for an exhibition in Feldman Lobby during the Fall 2017 semester and a digital exhibition linked to the FIT website.

All submissions must be accompanied by a submission form and bibliography.
