F-1 Regulations

For all international students to learn more about current F-1 regulations. Mandatory for those beginning a new program.

Work in the United States

For F-1 students who are interested in learning more about F-1 employment benefits. Particular emphasis is placed on Curricular Practical Training (credit-bearing internships).

Optional Practical Training (OPT)

Mandatory for F-1 students completing studies in May or the Summer Session who want to apply for post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT). Because of the lengthy authorization process, students are strongly encouraged to come to an early session. The International Student Advisor will only endorse the applications of students who attend one of these sessions. Please note that you must be physically in the U. S. to apply for OPT.
