HS Interior Design: Opening Day Supply Lists
HID 021: Introduction to Drawing for Interior Design (updated 2/27/19)
- For Opening Day:
- pen & notebook
- 12" wide Roll of Tracing Paper (preferred) or 11 x 14 Pad of Trace
(white, yellow or light yellow are all ok)*

HB, H and 2H Pencils*

Architect’s Scale (NOT an Engineer’s Scale)*
- Felt Tip Sketching Pen (ex: Pentel Sign Pen, Flair Papermate Marker, or Pilot Razor Point—NO Sharpies!)*
- Small Sketch Book-Hardcover preferred (at least 5 x 8; no larger than 9 x 12)*
- NO need to purchase items below, as I will go over these in during first class! Save
all receipts. Show student ID for discounts
- White Plastic Eraser
- Prismacolor Grey Pencils – Cool or Warm 10%, 20%, 30%, 50%, 70% – and a White pencil.

Markers (ex: Chartpak/A&D or Prismacolor) Cool or Warm Greys -- light, med, darker-10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 60% and some Colored

Pencil Sharpener

A 30/60 or 45 triangle. An Adjustable triangle is also acceptable. All must be 12” long.

Drafting Tape or Drafting Dots

Various Adhesives-double-sided tape, rubber cement, glue stick

9 x 12 Bristol Board Pad with at least 10-12 sheets
- hardcover sketchbook (at least 5" X 8", no longer than 9" X 12")
- black felt-tip sketching pen (ex: Flair or Pentel sign pen, NO sharpies)
- pencils
- architect's scale ruler
- small unlined sketchbook or notepad
- pencils for sketching: 2H, 2B, H
- felt-tipped pen
- architect's scale (1/4", 1/8", etc.)
- pen & notebook
- 30/60/90 degree plastic triangle
- Elmer's Glue
- rubber cement
- scissors
- drafting tape
- white eraser
