OGC supports the mission of the college by providing efficient and professional services.  To that end, OGC wants to be assured that it has approval from authorized personnel before undertaking to work on any request for legal assistance.  Generally, work requests should be approved for OGC action by administrators at either Cabinet-level or Extended Cabinet-level. OGC will not start work on any request received from faculty or staff without this level of approval as evidenced, at minimum, by the inclusion of the name of the senior level administrator appearing as a “cc.” on the email request.

Request for Legal Assistance

All requests for legal assistance should be directed to the General Counsel, Stephen Tuttle, [email protected]. Upon receipt by the General Counsel your request will be reviewed, and a determination made as to which member of the OGC staff will provide the support requested. An exception to this procedure is if the request is related to a project or business transaction that was previously handled by a particular member of the staff. In that event, you may contact that staff member directly for further assistance, but please copy the General Counsel on the email request.
