Semester & Short-Term Programs
SEMESTER PROGRAMS
Semester programs are either Exchange Programs or Semester Study Abroad programs. In choosing your Program, carefully review the differences by program type.
SHORT-TERM PROGRAMS
Short-Term Programs may be faculty-led, partner-hosted, or internships abroad. In choosing your program, carefully review the differences by program type. All Winter and Summer abroad courses require the approval of the course instructor. See course descriptions for prerequisites and instructor information.
SUNY or CCIS Programs
CAN'T FIND WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR?
If FIT does not have a program that interests you, students have the flexibility to go on SUNY Study Abroad or CCIS Abroad Programs for degree credit. There is just one additional step: FIT > SUNY/CCIS > host institution.
When applying at FIT, choose the "SUNY Study Abroad" or "CCIS Study Abroad" application option and indicate the specific program and country in the text box.
Eligibility will be determined by the department's evaluation of courses for transfer credit and approval by the administering institution.
