Follett ACCESS Program
The Follett Access program is an affordability initiative that provides course materials to you at the lowest possible price. The cost is part of your FIT tuition and fees bill and can be paid along with your other charges or using financial aid. Digital course materials will be made available directly within Brightspace and via your FIT email. Participating courses and fees can be found below; fees will be assessed to all students registered for these courses.

How does Access work?
If your course is participating in Access, you are automatically enrolled in the program. You will receive an email about a week prior to the first day of class that will explain how to access your materials. You do not have to participate; you will be able to opt-out and purchase your own course materials.
By participating in Follett Access, you will receive a digital copy of your course materials on or before the first day of class at the lowest price available from the publisher. Digital versions will be provided where available. If there is no digital version, physical materials will be provided.

Yes! Publishers provide significant discounts to participate in this program and those discounts are passed on to you via this program.
You will not pay out of pocket for your required course materials that are part of the program. Course material charges will be part of your tuition and charge structure with the campus. You can use your financial aid and other tuition payment options available to you at FIT.
Course materials that are not part of the Access program can be ordered online or purchased in the FIT Campus Store.
If you add a new course that is part of the Access program, digital course materials should be available and delivered to you within 24-48 hours of the add.
If you add a course that is not part of the program, follow the steps above under the non-Access course materials section.
If you drop a course, your online course materials will be automatically refunded and your access to the material will be removed upon confirmation of your section drop.
If you do not want to take advantage of Access course materials, you will have the opportunity to opt out during the registration process. If you decide to opt out at a later date, you may do so by using the Access Portal.
Important: if you choose to opt out, you will be responsible for purchasing your class materials yourself.
You may opt back in by using the Access Portal.

If your BryteWave course material was delivered as part of the Access program, Follett typically sets up accounts under your fitnyc.edu email address.
You may use the forgot password option on the BryteWave login screen.
