FIT has a very active chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the international honor society for associate degree students. Membership in PTK entitles students to scholarship opportunities and the privilege of wearing the honors stole at graduation. Stoles are distributed free of charge at induction for new members. In addition, members can elect to become involved in numerous academic, social, and community service activities.

Scholarships: Up to $90 million in scholarships to help you complete your associates, bachelor’s and even master's degrees.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible, students must be currently enrolled in a 1 or 2 year program, maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher and have completed 12 or more credits at FIT. 

Induction Ceremony

Each semester, we host a formal induction ceremony to honor new members and welcome them into the society. Membership in PTK entitles students the privilege of wearing the honors stole at graduation and stoles are distributed free of charge at induction* for new members.  Ceremony for any new members who joined on or after April 14, 2024 to October 1, 2024 will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024.

*Students must be in attendance at the induction ceremony in order to receive the complimentary stole. Stoles will not be available before or after the ceremony and cannot be replaced.
