World Trade Week Scholarship Winner
Isabelle Rosa is the 9th ITM student to receive the World Trade Week scholarship
Isabelle Rosa has been selected as the ninth recipient of the World Trade Week Scholarship by Peter Bengtson, International Trade Resources Specialist of The New York Public Library and New York District Export Council World Trade Week Steering Committee Member. This annual scholarship is funded by the New York District Export Council (NYDEC) in order to nurture the next generation of professional international traders.
Peter was impressed by Isabelle’s ethos in sustainability, activism and fashion. Her commitment started at an early age from her environmentalist mother who inspired water conservation and anti-fracking efforts in her hometown. In diving into the fashion industry, Isabelle gained an interest in the global supply chain. Merging both eco-friendly values and textiles, one of her many career goals includes giving already sourced materials a second life.
In Isabelle’s education, she is a heavily engaged student within the Department of International Trade and Marketing events. In her extracurricular activities, Isabelle has volunteered at career-driven panels, and is an active member in the International Trade Student Association (ITSA) and Merchandising Society. Isabelle has embodied the ideal star ITM student.
As the World Trade Week Scholarship Winner, Isabelle plans to use the funds to further her education in product life cycles as well as international law regarding importing and exporting.
We have every confidence that Isabelle’s future will be a success and invite you to join us in congratulating Isabelle as the World Trade Week Scholarship Winner.
