Dear New Graduate Student,

I write to welcome you to FIT, and if you are new to the city, I welcome you to New York City as well.  You have joined a community of exceptionally talented and dedicated people who have been drawn here because of our unique mission—which is to prepare you, one of our equally talented students—for professional excellence in the field you wish to pursue.

I am delighted that you have chosen FIT as the next stop in your educational journey. As one of our newest graduate students, you will find that you have entered one of FIT’s curricular gems—a hothouse of scholarship, creativity and innovation.  It is an environment as exciting as it is demanding, but it is an environment in which I know you will thrive.  I look forward to following your progress in the years ahead and welcome you once again.

Welcome to the School of Graduate Studies at FIT.  We are committed to providing an exceptional and unique educational experience and supportive community to all our graduate students -- new and returning. 

You will build long-lasting relationships with your peers and faculty who work tirelessly to deliver superior learning experiences and to build and strengthen a community with all of you.  Our faculty will inspire, encourage, and support you in your areas of study and our Graduate School team (faculty, staff, administration) are ready to welcome you to campus.
