Residential Life
All full-time matriculated undergraduate students are eligible to apply for on-campus housing. FIT has four residence halls—Alumni Hall, Coed Hall, and Nagler Hall on West 27th Street, and Kaufman Hall on West 31st Street—that house approximately 2,300 students. Accommodations include single, double, triple, and quad occupancies. First-year students are traditionally housed on 27th Street, with returning students housed on 31st Street.
Newly admitted students may apply for on-campus housing after submitting the $150 non-refundable tuition deposit to the Bursar’s Office—Cashiering Operations. To file the housing application, visit Residential Life and follow the instructions. Priority is given to the earliest housing applicants.
Applicants awarded space in the residence halls will receive an acknowledgment through their FIT email account and will be required to submit a $500 non-refundable housing deposit.
