Biography
John Delfino, Associate member of IALD, studied theatrical lighting design at CalArts with designer Anne Militell. His diverse lighting design background ranges from live theater and dance to permanent installation work such as museums, architecture, and themed entertainment.
At CalArts, Delfino had the opportunity to study under Walt Disney Imagineers, learning the craft of developing immersive experiences. After completing study at Boston College, he lit theatrical productions at several small not-for-profit theaters in the New York and Boston areas. He is committed to using light as a storytelling tool and has brought this philosophy to his work at Available Light.
Delfino also teaches lighting design at NYSID and teaches in the CPS program at Pace University.
