Biography
Lori Massaro is a former fashion executive specializing in apparel product development. Before joining FIT, she served as a product manager at Ralph Lauren and the director of product development for a division of QVC Network. She remains an active consultant in the fashion industry, administering corporate training in PLM, WebPDM, and Adobe Illustrator for several major fashion corporations.
Massaro teaches senior level courses in Computer Aided Product Development, incorporating Adobe CC, PLM Technology, and Excel. She authored a course-specific workbook and created video tutorials encompassing the cutting edge technology used in the classroom. Using the fashion industry as a resource, she brings fashion business connections and experiences into the FIT classroom and helps students explore career opportunities. Massaro founded FIT’s Runway27 (@fit_runway27), a student-run fashion show organization. She is the mother of four children and an active community volunteer who most recently was awarded the NYS PTA Honorary Life Membership (HLM) Award.
