Biography
Deborah Trupin is a textile and upholstery conservator with over 30 years of conservation experience. For much of that time she was the Textile and Upholstery Conservator for New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation’s Bureau of Historic Sites, responsible for the preservation and conservation of the textile and upholstery collections of the 36 state-run historic sites.
She is principal of Trupin Conservation Services, LLC, which provides textile conservation surveys and treatments to museums and other institutions. Trupin is a Fellow of the American Institute for Conservation (A(C). She is co-chair of the AIC Membership Designation Working Group and a member of the Directory Board of the ICOM Committee for Conservation.
