How to download the insurance card:

  1. Log in to the United Healthcare Student Resources page.
    If you have not previously created a United Healthcare Student Resources account, you must create an account by clicking CREATE ACCOUNT at the bottom of the login box.
  2. Click Download ID card on the left menu.

Prescriptions

For coverage, present your ID card at the pharmacy when dropping off your prescription. If you have not received your ID card, you may pay for the prescription, then complete the Claim Form (.pdf) for reimbursement.

MAIL SERVICE PRESCRIPTION DRUG PROGRAM

Medications that are taken for a chronic condition can be filled for up to a 90-day supply through the OptumRx Mail Service Prescription Program. A 90-day supply of a prescription can be filled with a co-payment that is 2 times the co-payment of a 30-day supply.

PRESCRIPTION OVERRIDE OPTION

For students who are traveling abroad and need to fill more than a 6-month supply of a prescription, student must complete the Prescription Override Form (.pdf).

Please note: Network pharmacies can process up to six months at the point of service therefore a vacation override would not be necessary unless the requested time frame exceeds 6 months. However, the member must have enough refills in his/her treatment regimen to accommodate the request.
