Introduction to Finding Grants
This newly revised class will teach  attendees how the Centers resources can help make them more effective grantseekers. For beginners, this introduction to the library provides instruction in foundation research and identification of potential funders. A tour of the library will follow.

Grantseeking Basics for Individuals in the Arts
If you are an individual involved in the arts and looking for funding to complete a project, mount an exhibition, put on a performance, conduct research, or anything else arts-related, Grantseeking Basics for Individuals in the Arts will show you how to:

*Explore the option of fiscal sponsorship. 
*Create a step-by-step plan to find funding for your  needs as an individual grantseeker.

    The basic elements of a proposal
    The do's and don'ts of writing and submitting a proposal
    How to follow up whether the answer is yes or no

Learn to prepare and present a budget in a grant proposal.
This session, geared to the novice grantseeker, will cover such topics as:

What is included under the "personnel" section and how to calculate it? 
What level of detail do you need to include for non-personnel expenses? 
How do you determine reasonable costs? 
What types of expenses are considered "overhead"? 
What other financial documents will funders want to see?
