RMIT Vietnam is the Vietnamese branch of the RMIT University in Australia. RMIT Vietnam is notable for being the first fully foreign-owned university permitted to operate in Vietnam and has received 19 Golden Dragon Awards from the Vietnamese Government for excellence in education since its inception. FIT students study in vibrant Ho Chi Minh City at the Saigon South campus in District 7, known for its modern architecture, wide streets, and vibrant nightlife.

- Minimum GPA 3.0
- Matriculation in a Bachelor's degree program
- Fashion Business Management students must obtain academic advisement and approval of the department advisor. Students may participate in their 5th or 6th semester.
- International Trade and Marketing students must obtain academic advisement and the approval of the department chair. Students should be in contact with Christine Pomeranz, department chair, prior to submitting an application regarding program choice. ITM students may participate during their 6th or 7th semester.
A full-time semester credit load consists of 48 (RMIT) credit points. Major and related area courses are available and students have the option of taking liberal arts or other courses in-person at RMIT (recommended) or online at FIT at no additional expense as this is an exchange program.
Fashion Business Management Course Information:
FBM students fulfill bachelor’s level major area courses by taking courses from the Bachelor of Fashion (Enterprise) program.
International Trade and Marketing Course Information
ITM students may take one specific Major Area Elective from the Bachelor of Fashion (Enterprise) program and multiple liberal arts courses at RMIT. All courses must be discussed in advance with the ITM department chair prior to submitting a course plan to the OIP or the Dean of Liberal Arts approve the course equivalents.
Liberal Arts Course Information:
Students may search potential liberal arts course options from among the other study areas at RMIT Vietnam like Professional Communication and Languages. Full course descriptions can be viewed by inputting the RMIT course number in this form.

Students are responsible for making their own accommodation arrangements for the duration of their stay. In the surrounding areas of RMIT Saigon South campus, you will find a range of apartment complexes that offer a conducive environment, while also providing convenient access to university support.
Students will be required to apply for a Study Visa for the duration of their stay in Vietnam. RMIT will provide supporting documentation and instructions after admission.
Health Insurance
FIT requires all students to be covered in the U.S. and internationally for the duration of their study abroad program. Two types of coverage are required:
1. FIT requires students to be covered abroad for the duration of their program. This policy is mandatory, therefore students cannot waive it.

*Students will be automatically enrolled and billed through their MyFIT account before the start of program. More detailed information about coverage and claims processes will be provided post-approval.
2. FIT requires students to be covered in the U.S. for the duration of their program. Students may waive the Haylor insurance using the standard waiver process if they already have a U.S. based insurance policy with equal or better coverage.
